This piece, written by Cuban composer Moisés Simon in the son-pregón style (street seller’s cry with musical elements blended from both Spain and Africa), is arguably one of the most famous pieces of music written by a Cuban composer.
 
This piece features many solo and duet opportunities and will require familiarization and practice with the Spanish language (as there are many phrases that move quickly throughout the piece).
